I don’t have the original keyboard for my A1000. It is possible to connect A2000/A3000/A4000 keyboard with a simple adapter.

Replacing Front/Back Covers

A1000 is famous for missing RAM extension covers. Mine had also its back panel lost. I managed to find 3D models and get both panels printed. RAM cover model is available on Thingverse. Back panel was harder to find, on some discussion group I finally found a link to someone’s private Google Drive with the model. This model has extra holes for modern connectors and PCI extension. They can be removed before printing.

3D printed parts:

I took the original front panel to Castorama and they used electronic color analyser to mix the right paint color. It will likely age differently to the original cover, but today it looks almost unrecognisable.
