Unfortunately, my PET comes without a keyboard. I managed to buy a keyboard with bright keys, which I think comes from 8296-SK. It has a skewed key number ‘9’ because of a badly repaired key pod.
This keyboard is marked Mitsumi COM-8. Other markings are: 56-0226A, TW-1594HB, KSR-A73YY.
Please compare to Mitsumi COM-3 keyboard from 8032-SK.

Would you please include here a picture of the bottom side of your main board?
I have a 8096 too and it has a very similar board assy 8032089. I’m wondering if yours have the same bodge at the bottom side, on the UE7.
On my board, Pin 9 of the UE7 74LS10 3inputNAND is disconnected from pin10 and pin11, and it is shorted to ground at pin 7. This is not shown on the schematic.
Also not on schematic is, mine has a 74S138 on UC3 but the schematic shows 74LS138. Yours have the LS variant as per the schematic.

Oh Thanks for noticing, I put the same bottom picture on both boards. Let me fix that…

74S can be placed instead of 74LS, they are faster, but consume more current and can get hot.
