Keyboard
This is not the right keyboard that came with PS/1 2011 machine, but it matches the IBM branding and design. It is IBM Model-M keyboard 01M1525.

Some Dirt

What a classic and amazing detailed photos!
Please not too much focus on the dirt. I was enjoying a pizza until I saw that keyboard..yuk!
Thank you for taking the time to restore this peace of computing history. Thank you also for all the fotos. Keep up the amazing work.
Thanks you Marco, I am happy you like my work!
That’s not the keyboard that came with the 2011. It was an M2 (not an M). It was worst than the M but still the right one for this set.
Thank you, I will chase M2
I have exactly the same machine (apart from the keyboard that is the newer and smaller format model) and I am trying to get it working again. Should I go for DOS 6.22 or DOS 5.0?
I also have one working 🙂 On mine i prefered to keep it original so i downloaded the factory HDD images from the “Software” link in this post, and reimaged the HDD. You will get IBM PC-DOS with that image (i don’t recall right now whet version, but i believe it ver. 5).
Also, please take care with your HDD if it’s working, don’t forget to recap it. Those HDD are very hard to find and they are all dying from the electrolitic of the caps.
You’ve got the image descriptions flipped. Power Regulator Module is Floppy Drive controller and viceversa
I thought so, but the heading is above the content, there is a problem with no spacing above the heading, which looks like it is not the heading, but a subtitle. Let me see how to make it look better. Thanks for reporting!
The problem with this model is de CMOS battery.
