Thomson Life TV is marked as 10MK16UF, type: 426/TX807C GB. I have not found any interesting resources about it on the Internet. It is great match for retro computers, because it has RF, composite AV and SCART inputs.

Where do you find all this unusual gear ?
The design looks very much similar to an apple mac se/classic.
Auctions mainly. Broken or unknown condition go cheaper and fixing is just fun. This one was not broken though.
Longshot, but do you happen to have a list of capacitors for this TV?
I have one with faulty sound and think a re-cap might help?
No I don’t have the list of capacitors. I have not recapped it, but I also have a problem with sound – on av there is high noise at constant volume.
Exactly the same problem for me. I ended up unplugging the speaker inside, however I am looking for a permamnet fix. I wonder if a re cap could do it.
I just got one of these and had similar noise. I messed around in the tuner menu and set it to France (not entirely sure how I saved the setting, but it did stick after more messing around, which stopped the noise.

To be honest, I have no idea how much to charge. I know it’s not worth anything to me and rather than just scrap it if you can use it then that is great. How about £30?

Hi Guys we’ve just rediscovered one of ours, tried to rig it up to a digibox but no menu screen showing. Are they incompatible or do I need a better aerial connection. Your help appreciated.

I think the chip used demodulates only mono audio. Why would you want to do that? The easiest might be use an external tuner with audio set and the tv for display only.
It was just an extra because I use it to test consoles, so I can make sure the l and r channels are ok. Thanks for the reply
